Local Dimming Technology

Our Window-Facing range of products can be equipped with Local Dimming technology, This is a technique used to enhance contrast and improve black levels by independently controlling the brightness of different areas (or zones) on the screen.

Instead of having a uniform backlight across the entire display, local dimming allows specific zones to be dimmed or brightened based on the content being shown. This dynamic adjustment of backlighting helps to achieve deeper blacks in dark scenes and better overall contrast.

Full-array local dimming: With full-array local dimming, LEDs are placed directly behind the entire display panel in an array. This allows for more precise control over individual zones of the screen. By dimming or turning off specific LEDs in darker areas, full-array local dimming can provide better black levels, improved contrast, and reduced halo or blooming effects around bright objects on the screen.
